With over twenty years of active criminal defense experience, Mr. Quinnan is frequently mentioned in local media and is also a qualified death penalty attorney for the State of California.

Background

Gabriel Quinnan has been a lifelong defender of rights. After his honorable discharge as an infantryman in the U.S. Army’s legendary 82nd Airborne Division in 1996, Mr. Quinnan pursued college in Michigan. In 2000, he earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

After graduating, Mr. Quinnan accepted an invitation to study law at the University of Houston Law Center. Along with his studies, he held memberships in many socially active groups and organizations, such as the ACLU, the Innocence Project and he was president of the Federalist Society.

In 2004, he earned his Juris Doctorate with the completion of an internship at the Public Defender’s Office in Auburn, California.

Defense Philosophy

Mr. Quinnan honed his talents as a criminal defense attorney in the crucible of public defender and conflict attorney offices in Placer County; El Dorado County; Sacramento County; and Fairbanks, Alaska. In each county and state, he learned that aggressive defense work will create better results than passive advocacy.

He also learned how important it is that the prosecution knows the defense attorney is willing to fight and go to trial to get the best outcome. As a result, Mr. Quinnan has tried nearly every kind of case imaginable to verdict.
